Sarah Wendell is a photographer based in New York City.  Her work evolves around identity and finding truths in people close to her, as well as connecting with people in the community she lives in.  She uses photography as a way of understanding people and telling their stories.

In May 2006 Sarah received her BFA from Pratt Institute, and in March 2007 was featured in PDNedu's Storyteller section.  She has worked in depth with children in the America Reads Program, as well as for Visual AIDS for the Arts photographing events and the artists who have work in their archive.

Currently, Sarah is working with artists to produce affordable art in editions at 20x200, a Jen Bekman project.
